Walk around historic downtown Portsmouth.

Walk, Run, Hike

Walk from Perkins Cove to Ogunquit on the Marginal Way (no dogs allowed on the path!)

Walk around York Harbor via the Fisherman’s Walk or The Cliffs.

Hike Mt Agamenticus.

Thinking about how to extend your trip?

Portland, ME

We spent a week in Portland this winter tying up some knots for the wedding and working (mostly working). But in between those two things we fell in love with the city. It’s not a large town (you can walk the length of it in a couple of hours) but it’s jam packed with history and some of the best restaurants you’ll find on the East Coast.

Because it can be busy in the summer, we recommend booking everything in advance. Here are some of our favorite places in Portland:

Eventide Oyster Company
Central Provisions
Fore Street
Yosaku
Regards
And some places we haven’t been but are on our list for next time: Izakaya Minato and Jing Yan

Slightly outside of Portland:
Maine Beer Company
Peaks Island (and the many islands off the coast of Portland)
Cape Elizabeth

Further in or up the coast

Visit Bar Harbor and the Acadia National Park in Maine.

Check out the beautiful White Mountains of New Hampshire.

Boston, MA

There’s history and things but our favorite moments in Boston are the times spent bopping around with friends. Here are some of our favorite neighborhoods to take in the sites and find a bite to eat.

North End is like a giant Italian village. Get a cannolli and try the oysters at The Daily Catch.

Go for a stroll in the Boston Commons, through Back Bay, and end up alongside the Charles River.

Catch a Redsox game at Fenway.

The South End is home to some of Boston’s best restaurants including Meyers + Chang (Chinese), Orinoco (Latin), B&G Oysters, MIDA (Italian).

Visit a brewery. Boston is home to A LOT of breweries including Trillium, Night Shift, Down East Cider House, just to name a few.

Take in a museum. Two of Jane’s favorites include Isabella Gardner Museum and The Museum of Fine Arts.
